I graduated from TFA in 2011 and went on to Florida State University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences with a Teaching Certificate and minor in Education and Psychology. I was blessed to have found a great church and campus ministry at FSU called Christian Campus Fellowship. I started working in the College Advising Office at The First Academy the summer before my senior year of college which led to a full-time position after I graduated. TFA not only gave me an incredible foundation as a student but also as a new graduate starting a new career!

My husband Chris and I moved to Jacksonville in 2016 and I transitioned to the business world. I studied to get my Insurance license and worked in that industry before giving birth to our daughter, Elyse, in August of 2017. I currently am a stay-at-home mom and I’m working towards an Accounting Degree taking online classes, in addition to being on staff for a wedding planning company. Chris and I are covenant members at the Church of Eleven 22.

The First Academy has so many amazing teachers and staff members, but Mr. Rick Bohner and Coach Michele Moreman were two that had such an incredible impact on my life. Mr. Bohner always took the time to pour into me and encourage me in my faith while pushing me to be my best. Coach Michele was my volleyball coach, but her impact was far beyond sports. She also happened to be my 7th-grade science teacher. She is a strong, powerful woman who always expected the best from her students and athletes. I have a unique perspective as a former employee at TFA as well. Mrs. Joyce Kwak and Mr. Brian Rose were incredible to work alongside and learn from; their hard work and dedication to the students were unmatched. The life-long friendships TFA has given me are something I will cherish forever. I am so thankful for all the years that TFA has shaped and molded my life as a student and as an adult, but even more as a follower of Jesus Christ.
