Get to Know Andrew Uth, TFA Class of 2007

When did you graduate from TFA?

2007

Where did you attend college?

I attended Valencia Community College.

Please share about your family, occupation, where you attend church, and/or other volunteer and service.

My wife and I have two beautiful children. My son Sawyer is 6 and my daughter Ivy is 3. I am a project manager for a site development contractor, Jr. Davis Construction, and I have been with them for 14 yrs.

I attend First Baptist Orlando and have been on several mission trips. I serve when I can and our family is “For Orlando”

How did TFA prepare you for the next steps in your life?

Exposure to Christian values helped me grow on my foundation in the Lord. I learned to build authentic relationships and friendships based in Christ.

What teacher(s) and/or coach(s) had the most impact on your life, why/how?

I have 2 people that poured into me while I was at TFA and have made a lasting impression on me. – Coach Mayberry – Being my coach and mentor, he pushed me to new limits that I didn’t know I had in me, to better myself. He taught me that hard work pays off and to never give up. To this day I consider him still one of my mentors and am thankful for the impact he had on my life while I was at TFA.

Mr. Kavanagh was my counselor in high school and he poured into me as an individual, strengthening my walk with God. He was always there for me and he was REAL with me, which I appreciated. He helped me a lot through some difficulties I had in life at the time and I still apply his advice to this day.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about the impact or connections TFA has made in your personal and/or professional life?

My family and I are blessed to be a part of the TFA family. My wife is a 4th-grade teacher at TFA and both of my kids attend the school. My kids are getting educated by quality Christian teachers who put their faith first and pour into their students. I am grateful for that!
