Caitlin will be graduating in December 2017 as the first female to earn a degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Central Florida.

After high school, she began performing and teaching guitar in the Orlando area and is currently doing so. As part of a USO band, she has played for American troops throughout Europe. She was the electric guitarist for country recording artist Lindsey Bryant and established herself in Orlando and Nashville by composing, recording, and performing. Caitlin has also served as a touring member for multiple bands throughout her career.

After graduation, she became very involved with the worship team at her local church, First Orlando. She has been the guitarist of that team since 2009. Caitlin has been blessed to lead people in worship locally and around the world. In 2016 she performed with the FBO worship team in South Africa.

She is very involved in worship and loves serving and leading people to the throne of God. Caitlin and her sister Courtney are starting a worship project called Cypress & Cedar where they will uplift, encourage, and pray for people through their gifts of music.

“TFA prepared me for the next steps in life by teaching me to keep my focus on Jesus. Nothing else matters. Our gifts, our talents, our abilities are useless if they are not being used to glorify God. It is important to keep our minds and hearts focused on eternity. This temporal world has nothing to offer. Jesus is the only way.

Dr. Toenges was very influential for me during my time at TFA. He still is. He gave me the tools I needed to defend my faith and share the love of Christ with this broken world. His course was the most important, and the most impactful course at that school.

I am grateful for my time at TFA and the faculty who shared the love of Jesus with me and encouraged me to share that love throughout the world.”
