Alumni Spotlight: Ryan Price
After Jennifer and I graduated from TFA in 2002, we both attended Mississippi College where Jennifer received a degree in Elementary Education, and I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. One week after graduating, we were married and began our lives in Dallas, Texas where Jennifer started her career in teaching, and I pursued a Doctorate in Chiropractic. While in school we started a side business as
independent distributors for AdvoCare, a nutrition company based in DFW. Upon graduating, we opened up Price Family Sports Chiropractic in Dallas and specialized in soft tissue and sports-related therapies. Although we enjoyed chiropractic, after 3 years of practice, our AdvoCare business gave us the opportunity to both work from home and pursue the things that were closest to our hearts. We have since moved back to Orlando where Jennifer and I help lead small groups as well as the men’s ministry at C-Life Orlando. I have also launched a new business in Price Pens, which helps people share their appreciation of others with luxury handcrafted pens that each have a story designed to encourage and inspire.
I am grateful for my time at TFA and for the teachers and coaches who went above and beyond to not only set me up for success but to show me what was most important in life. From Coach Kinard and Coach Mayberry raising my belief in what I could accomplish athletically, Coach Oliver meeting me one-on-one at 5:30am to help me with discus, or bringing sandwiches and sharing Christ with the homeless with Steve Kavanagh, the teachers and coaches at TFA truly have played a role in who I have become. I am truly blessed. And to top it all off God has blessed Jennifer and me with three amazing children Katelyn (6), Parker (3), and Cooper (16 months). To God be the Glory!
