What were the reasons you or your Parents chose The First Academy?

TFA is a National Blue Ribbon School and Orlando is a great city!

 

Are you involved in extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and have you received awards in these activities? (These can be affiliated with TFA or outside of school)

Concert & Marching band, Quiz Bowl team, and the Varsity Girls Basketball team.

 

Which colleges have you applied to and which ones have you been accepted to thus far?

Bowdoin College, Furman U, Northeastern U, Penn State, U of Georgia, U of Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia U. I haven’t received any notification yet. The admission decisions won’t come out until late March and April.

 

What do you plan to study in college and what are your long-term career goals?

Forensic Science or Sports Journalism. I want to peruse a career in criminal investigation such as a forensic pathologist or forensic anthropologist, or a Chinese-English bilingual basketball reporter/host/anchor.

 

Have you received any college scholarships? If so, which ones? (Or, which ones are you currently nominated for)

No, I have not.

 

Who are some of your favorite TFA teachers, and why? These can be K4-12.

Mrs. Cantu, Mr. Hudson, and Mr. Manning. They are responsible, passionate, and wise. They love and care for their students.

 

In one sentence, what did being a student at The First Academy mean to you?

What I have learned at The First Academy has led to a better me.

 

How has TFA made a difference in, or impacted your life?

TFA made me realize that being a student is the best profession in the world.

 

Do you feel that The First Academy has prepared you for life after graduation? 

Yes.

 

What is your favorite memory at TFA?

Signing the floor of the Cramer Family Field House with my teammates before it was completed.

 

How have you grown in your walk with Christ since coming to TFA?

I once did not know Him, but I now want to know Him more.
