Dear TFA Families,
As everyone begins to plan for the second quarter of the school year, we wanted to give you an important update regarding make-up school days from Hurricane Irma.

For a full school year, the Florida Council of Independent Schools requires 170 days. At TFA, we schedule more days than required each year to allow a “cushion” for hurricanes or natural disasters, much like schools up north schedule a certain amount of “snow days” into their schedules. The four missed days of school from Hurricane Irma still leaves us with more than 170 days of school this year. That being said, we will not schedule any make-up days for the days missed during Hurricane Irma.

We are so grateful to partner with you and it was a blessing to see the TFA community come together before, during, and after the hurricane to support those in need. Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious possessions, your children, each day. We look forward to serving your family throughout the rest of the 2017-2018 school year.

Sincerely,
Steve
