What grade level did you start at The First Academy?
6th Grade
What were the reasons you or your parents chose The First Academy?
All eight of my siblings attended this school and my parents just love the Christian family atmosphere it provides, along with the extracurricular activities the school provides.
Are you involved in extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and have you received awards in these activities? (These can be affiliated with TFA or outside of school)
I’m involved in Boys Varsity Basketball and Volleyball. I am a part of the Team USA Boys Youth National Volleyball Team. I traveled to Tunisia, Africa to compete in the U19 World Championships and there were countries from all over the world competing. I earned a scholarship to Pepperdine University to continue to play Volleyball.
Which colleges are you planning to apply to or have you applied to thus far?
I am planning on attending Pepperdine University.
What do you plan to study in college and what are your long-term career goals?
I plan to major or study in college either Business or a PA.
Who are some of your favorite TFA teachers, and why? These can be K4-12.
Mrs. Oswald, Mr. Harvey, and Mrs. Morribito. They all have not only helped me grow academically but helped me spiritually as well. They are not just teachers, but mentors to me as well.
In one sentence, what did being a student at The First Academy mean to you?
It meant I was capable of being who I am. It allowed me to grow spiritually and become closer to my ultimate Father.
How has TFA made a difference in, or impacted your life?
The teachers have always poured into me and allowed me to become a mentor for others.
Do you feel that The First Academy has prepared you for life after graduation?
They have provided me with a firm Christian foundation that will allow me to spread the gospel wherever I go, no matter where I am.
What is your favorite memory at TFA?
Just being able to attend school with all of my siblings and seeing the legacy they leave behind.
How have you grown in your walk with Christ since coming to TFA?
I have matured in my faith and strengthened my relationship with the Lord. I have started pouring into the underclassmen and sharing what others shared with me.
What was one spiritual insight you gained at TFA that has impacted your life the most?
Just to be a leader and be who God created you do be. You don’t need to conform to this world. God created you to be the best version of yourself, so do that.
What does the school year them, “Stronger Together,” mean to you and how have you incorporated in your day to day life this year?
It means unity and having our whole school and community united under Christ.
