At what grade level did you start at The First Academy?
I came to TFA my freshman year.
What were the reasons you or your parents chose The First Academy?
They wanted me in a high school with strong Christian values and academics before I go college.
Are you involved in extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and have you received awards in these activities? (These can be affiliated with TFA or outside of school)
I am involved in the comfort club, clean marine club, wounded warrior club, and I’m also the Yearbook Editor in Chief.
Which colleges have you applied to and which ones have you been accepted to thus far? (Please include if you have made a decision to attend a certain college next year)
I applied to University of Florida, Florida State University, Texas Christian University, Liberty University, and University of South Florida. I have been accepted into all the schools and currently haven’t decided where I will be attending next year.
What do you plan to study in college and what are your long-term career goals?
My goal for the next season of my life is to obtain an undergraduate degree in Psychology and continuing with a doctorate degree in Abnormal Psychology.
Have you received any college scholarships? If so, which ones? (Or, which ones are your currently nominated for)
Yes I’ve received academic scholarships from the universities and also Bright Futures.
Who is/are your favorite TFA teacher(s), and why? (Teachers can be K4-12)
I have loved all my teachers here at TFA but the four teachers that I have connected with the most are Mrs. Oswald, Mrs. Hoffman, Ms. Vaughn and Mr. Harvey. They have truly impacted my life by encouraging me to work hard and make school a fun and exciting environment where I always looked forward going to their class.
How has TFA made a difference in, or impacted your life?
TFA has helped me grow tremendously in my spiritual walk with Christ and I have learned that everything happens according to God’s plan.
How do you feel that The First Academy has prepared you for life after graduation?
TFA has taught me how to study and prepare for college and also how to defend my faith in a secular world.
What does it mean to you to be a The First Academy alumni?
Being a TFA alumni means that I’m honored to have been a part of such an amazing school with Christ-centered principles and surrounded with people that have the same goal of honoring God in everything we do.
