What a Grade Level did you start at The First Academy?

Fourth grade

What were the reasons you or your Parents chose The First Academy?

My parents chose The First Academy because it is a Gospel-centered school with great academics and many leadership opportunities that have given me a chance to grow in my faith.

Are you involved in extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and have you received awards in these activities? (These can be affiliated with TFA or outside of school)

Cheerleading, spiritual formation leader, Wounded Warrior officer, Bible Study leader for freshmen girls, Edwards House Ambassador, Comfort Club president, and Klife youth group

Which colleges have you applied to and which ones have you been accepted to thus far?

I have applied to Samford University, The University of Florida, University of Central Florida, and Wake Forest University. It is too early to know of any acceptances yet.

What do you plan to study in college and what are your long-term career goals?

I plan to study something in the medical profession.

Have you received any college scholarships? If so, which ones? (Or, which ones are you currently nominated for)

It is too early to know, TBD!

Who are some of your favorite TFA teachers, and why? These can be K4-12.

This is the hardest question of all because every one of my teachers at TFA has blessed me in some way, but to name just a few: Mrs. Oswald, because she is an amazing teacher who not only cares about my academics but also my heart and walk with the Lord. Talking with her always blesses me. Mr. Harvey who continues to make me laugh and bring joy to my day, and continues to show me how to love “Everybody Always,” and Mr. Kavanaugh who has taught me so much about who Jesus is and cares deeply about every one of his students.

In one sentence, what did being a student at The First Academy mean to you?

The First Academy has provided me with an excellent academic experience and a spiritual one as well, with a lot of opportunities to lead and grow.

How has TFA made a difference in, or impacted your life?

TFA teachers have impacted my life on a personal level. During difficult times my teachers have often encouraged me, prayed with me, written me notes, and have shown me daily how much they truly care about me. Also, being at TFA has given me the opportunity to have friendships that I believe will last a lifetime.

Do you feel that The First Academy has prepared you for life after graduation?

Yes, I know that I am academically well prepared for college from my time at TFA, but even more than that, being at The First Academy for the past nine years has helped strengthen my faith, and even most recently in my Apologetics class.

What is your favorite memory at TFA?

My favorite memory at TFA has been the Senior retreat at Southwind. It was so bonding as a class to spend so much time together doing fun activities. My favorite part of the retreat was the worship night, it was so powerful!
