Upper School Visual Art – Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival & Rotary Club of Windermere Spring Fest

Claire Derderian (9th grade) won the Winter Park Sidewalk Festival 3D Best in Show Award! This 1st place honor is only bestowed on one 3D piece from the works submitted by 20+ private and public high schools in the Central Florida area! Other 3D student awards include:

Jaclynn Kelly (11th grade) earned an Honorable Mention at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, as well as Best of Show (1st Place) at the Rotary Club of Windermere Spring Fest. Congrats to Jaclynn for her hard work and heart for The Potter Himself as inspiration!

In 2D Art, Brooke Hill (12th grade) received the Award of Excellence (2nd place).

Gabriela Kaiser (8th grade) received an Award of Distinction for her relief print “Morning Glory” and an Honorable Mention for her 2/D painting of a “Leopard” at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. In addition, Gabriela received a 2nd Place Ribbon for “Morning Glory” at the Rotary Club of Windermere Spring Fest. Other awards include:

At the Rotary Club of Windermere Spring Fest, Mckenzie Giles (8th grade) received a 2nd Place for her 3/D ceramic plaque “The Prince and The Pauper.”

Upper School Theatre – State Thespian Competition

Thespian Troupe 5165 traveled to Tampa, FL March 16-19 to compete in the state thespian competition. Congratulations to these students who earned Superiors at the district level in order to make it to the state competition.
