Did you know your words are incredibly powerful? Proverbs 16:24 says, “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” As I walk around campus, attend fine arts and athletic events, and speak with families, I am reminded again and again of how blessed we are to be at TFA. Wonderful things are happening at every level. In the Lower School, kindergarteners are learning how being courteous and kind to others can be a display of their faith. Our seniors are preparing their senior thesis projects, a project that is close to my heart as it not only fosters academic excellence, but also asks students to search for God’s hand in everything that surrounds them.
One of the most powerful ways to help strengthen TFA is for you to share your school stories with friends and neighbors. With Admissions Open House just around the corner, I’m asking for your help. There are a couple of ways that you can use your powerful stories to share the good news about The First Academy.
As mentioned, this Sunday, February 12, from 2:00pm-4:00pm we are hosting an Open House. We are also inviting our families to come and tour the new Field House during that time. Please come tour this innovative facility and bring a friend! We have posted information about the Open House on all of our social media outlets. Would you join me in sharing that information on your personal social media platforms?
Secondly, I want to invite you to take part in our “Royal Reach Referral Program.” This program is a wonderful way to celebrate current families who refer their friends and extended family to The First Academy. When a student applies and successfully enrolls at The First Academy (Day School), the referring family receives a $250 “thank you” per child in grades K-8th. Referrals for 9th-12th grade students will be entered in a raffle for a $150 School Store gift card. The applicant must name you as their referring family on the student application. Every year, close to 80% of our new families enroll at The First Academy due to a current teacher, staff member, or TFA family recommending our school. We know that a recommendation from YOU carries much more credibility than any print ad can say, and we are grateful!
Thank you for continuing to share your stories, they have true impact on me personally and on those around us. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday at 2:00.
