Every student has a voice and through our new student spotlight feature, we will be highlighting some of the many diverse, creative and accomplished voices of our students with Royal Voices.

The next student we are spotlighting is Cadence Adamson, who started at TFA in 6th Grade.

What were the reasons you or your parents chose The First Academy?

My parents choose TFA because there were a small number of kids and they knew I would be in a strong Christian environment.

Are you involved in extracurricular activities?

I have participated in theater in the past, but since I was 7 years old I have been a figure skater and have won several medals. I am also the leader of Godly Girls, an 8th-grade girls’ Bible Study.

What are your interests, passions, or things you hope to pursue throughout your time at TFA and beyond?

The passion I hope to continue to pursue here and beyond TFA is to continue to help others whether it’s during school or after school in clubs. I love being there for people and it feels even better when I know people are there for me.

Who are some of your favorite TFA teachers, and why?

My favorite teachers are Mrs. Diehl (7th-grade science) and Mrs. Rymer (8th-grade bible). Mrs. Diehl is such an amazing teacher because she teaches curriculum in a way that made me intrigued and exciting to learn. She is also such an inspiring woman and is a light to her students. Mrs. Rymer is such a talented speaker and has a true heart for God. I love hearing her testimony about the Lord and how she thinks everyone has a special place in God’s heart.

In one sentence, what did being a student at The First Academy mean to you?

Being a student at TFA means having a family away from home that I can take comfort in.

How has TFA made a difference in, or impacted your life?

TFA has impacted my life because I now have a strong relationship Christ and newfound confidence in myself.

What is your favorite memory at TFA?

My favorite memory at TFA was when I first started Godly Girls, the girls’ bible group I lead, and just know that God put me at TFA for a purpose and that He wants me to be here. As soon as everyone started coming into the room and hears me speak, I know that the Lord is good!

How have you grown in your walk with Christ since coming to TFA?

I have grown in my walk with Christ tremendously because I have found newfound confidence in Him. Prior to coming to TFA, I didn’t really know anything about God but now I can say I have put my faith in Him!

What does the school year them, “Greatest of These is Love,” mean to you and how have you incorporated in your day to day life this year?

I can apply the school theme in my day to day life by reminding myself that love conquers all and no matter what may happen in your life, God will always be there to love you.
