In Psalm 127:1, David writes a song for his son Solomon that begins, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Despite his tremendous wealth and wisdom, the great King Solomon’s deepest need was to trust in the Lord, not in the glory and protection of Jerusalem.
As we “build the house” of the 2017-18 school year, I’d like to invite you to a special 20-minute time of prayer at 6:45am on Tuesday, August 8th. Next Tuesday marks our annual TFA Day of Prayer, and this year I hope you’ll join me and other families on campus to pray. We will meet in the Upper School lobby at 6:45am and spend 20 minutes praying at two nearby locations.
As we seek First Things First in 2017-18, would you join me on Tuesday morning? We are so grateful to serve your children and hope to see you there.
