Jacob M. – All State Concert Band

Jacob M. (10th) participated in the All State Concert Band last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, in Tampa.  All State is a prestigious auditioned group of high school musicians from around the state.  Last week consisted of three days of intense rehearsal, culminating with a concert on Saturday.  Congratulations to Jacob!

MS Theatre Presents The Lion King Jr.

The Lion King, Jr. is a story of love and redemption that captivates its audience through spirited and dynamic singing and dancing – combined with heaps of laughter and vivid dramatics. The importance of family, friendship, and courage is explored with humor and emotion in this entertaining and electrifying musical. The Lion King, Jr. is perfect for families with children of all ages. Evening performances take place January 26th – 28th, and February 2nd – 3rd at 7:00pm in the Black Box Theatre. There will also be a student matinee performance on February 1st at 3:00pm. Click here to purchase tickets.

College Guidance

10th Grade (Class of 2019) Parent Coffee Meeting with College Guidance

We are meeting with all 10th graders in their English classes to discuss graduation requirements, college preparations, and training students on using great college resource tools (Collegeboard/Raise.me/Naviance) this week!

We wanted to have time with parents to go over the same information and also to answer any questions you may have in regards to the College Guidance process at The First Academy.

We will be meeting in Room 202 (second floor of the Upper School).  Please be sure to check in at the front lobby first.

Re-Enrollment Begins 1/9

This is a friendly reminder that re-enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year began on Monday, January 9.  As we mentioned prior to Winter Break, we are excited to offer a reduced re-enrollment payment during the first week of re-enrollment!  Re-enrollment payments by school are as follows:

                                                          Jan. 9-16               Jan. 17 Forward
The First Academy:                            $500                           $1000
The Classical School:                         $200                            $400
The First Hope:                                   $400                            $500
The First Academy Preschool:          $100                            $125

Directions for re-enrollment and payment will be sent to the email address on file in RenWeb on the morning of January 9. Be sure to take advantage of the reduction during the first week! Please note, grade level positions are not reserved until we have received submission of both the completed re-enrollment contract and the payment.

In celebration of re-enrollment for the 2017-18 school year, students are encouraged to wear “Spirit Wear” for the first week of re-enrollment, January 9 – 13.
