“They want to know that you care about them. I try to go see their extra-curricular activities, I try to make sure that I am talking to them everyday-checking in with them. I think most of all they want to know that someone cares about them and loves them beyond the walls of academics. You may not love science, but that doesn’t mean you and I can’t connect.”
