A cornerstone of athletic success in Central Florida.

Welcome to The First Academy Athletics

The First Academy Athletics has been a cornerstone of success in Central Florida, earning 113 district titles, 43 regional titles, 67 individual state titles, and 20 team state championships. Alumni have represented the Royals on the biggest stages of athletics, including the 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four, The 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the 2015, 2017, and 2018 NCAA College World Series.

The Class of 2023 netted several million dollars in athletic scholarship offers and saw 14 Student-Athletes go on to play a sport at the next level. More importantly, TFA Athletics embodies the principle of Christ-centered competition, developing young leaders in their relationships with Jesus Christ.

Athletic Facilities

The First Academy athletic facilities include the Cramer Family Field House, the Natalie Thomas Student Center, the Dizney Family Tennis Complex, and the Payne Stewart Athletic Complex. Interested in renting an athletic event space? The First Academy athletic facilities have limited availability for event rentals.

The Cramer Family Field House was the result of a multi-year capital campaign raising $10 million dollars to build one of the largest high school basketball complexes in Florida. Inside, the field house features 2 state of the art NCAA Basketball courts, upscale locker rooms, an oversized lobby for events, a glass mezzanine with athletic offices, and prime seating for up to 800.

The First Academy’s Payne Stewart Athletic Complex has been recently renovated and is comprised of the Warden Stadium, Kroy Crofoot Field, the Scott Larson Pavilion, the Orel Hershiser Baseball Field, the softball field, covered batting cages, and practice spaces. Warden Stadium and Kroy Crofoot Field are home to the football, track, soccer, and lacrosse teams. The Orel Hershiser Baseball Field and the Kroy Crofoot Field are outfitted with state-of-the-art turf surfaces.

Track and field athletes enjoy a new track surface, one of the first of its kind in the United States. Softball and baseball teams enjoy separate fields along the west side of the complex. Teams share updated collegiate-style locker rooms underneath the Warden Stadium. The Pavilion was dedicated to Scott Larson and features a concessions area and seating for families to enjoy.
