US Chapel Recap 2/2

by Nicole C.

We, students, had the pleasure of hearing Pastor Chris Bacon speak in chapel about resting in our loving Father’s hands. He spoke on Galations 1:3-10. He explained to us how God’s desire is for us to feel stable in Him. On the stage, he had an illustration of a ladder and a chair and how God doesn’t want us to climb the ladder to glorify ourselves of how high we can go while still feeling unstable, but He wants us to take leaps of faith while resting in the assurance that God is with us. Our faith needs to be as though we are resting in a chair knowing we are loved and cared for rather than on a ladder where we are worried and tired. So is your faith resting in Christ or trying to glorify yourself rather than the one who created you? Be encouraged by the fact that we serve a God who is with us at all times, even through those leaps of faith in life.
