Parents, please take a moment to mark your calendars. The following are important dates that you do not want to miss:
AP Environmental Science students participated in the 2017 Regional Envirothon with 36 teams from public & private schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties at Leu Gardens. Although our teams didn’t place in the top 2, they enjoyed a beautiful day in the park and honed their environmental knowledge in preparation for the AP exam in May. Read more about the competition here.
This fair is open to private school students in the Central Florida area. Click here to see the list of colleges in attendance.

We, students, had the pleasure of hearing Pastor Chris Bacon speak in chapel about resting in our loving Father’s hands. He spoke on Galations 1:3-10. He explained to us how God’s desire is for us to feel stable in Him. On the stage, he had an illustration of a ladder and a chair and how God doesn’t want us to climb the ladder to glorify ourselves of how high we can go while still feeling unstable, but He wants us to take leaps of faith while resting in the assurance that God is with us. Our faith needs to be as though we are resting in a chair knowing we are loved and cared for rather than on a ladder where we are worried and tired. So is your faith resting in Christ or trying to glorify yourself rather than the one who created you? Be encouraged by the fact that we serve a God who is with us at all times, even through those leaps of faith in life.
All emails regarding attendance can be sent to our receptionist, Lyn Maxime, at usattendance@thefirstacademy.org. If your student is arriving late, will be dismissed early or absent from school, please email Lyn at usattendance@thefirstacademy.org.
