Admissions Process

The Admissions area of our website is designed to make the application process as simple as possible. Please review The First Academy’s process below.

Inquire

Interested in taking the first step in exploring The First Academy? You can start by requesting a copy of our Parent Information Packet, or if you are ready to tour our campus, you can submit a Campus Tour Form. Once received, an Admissions team representative will contact you by phone or email to learn more about your family and schedule a tour. You can also contact our Admissions Team directly at admissions@thefirstacademy.org or (407) 206-8602.

Tour

The First Academy Admissions Team provides prospective families with personal tours both on campus and virtually. You can request a tour for your family by submitting a Campus Tour Form or by RSVPing for our Open House Events, which are hosted throughout the school year.

Apply

Click HERE to create an account and begin your online application. After applying, you will be able to track your admissions status at The First Academy by logging into your FACTS account.

Testing

Applicants for Kindergarten Prep (3’s and 4’s) through 1st Grade are required to take in-house admission screening or testing at The First Academy. Applicants for 2nd through 12th Grade are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) proctored at The First Academy. There is no cost for screening applicants in Kindergarten Prep (3’s and 4’s) through 1st grade. The ISEE does incur an additional fee of $125 for 2nd-4th Grade and $160 for 5th-12th Grade applicants.

Documentation

After applying and completing entrance testing, our Admissions Team will request any outstanding documents. 

Examples:

  • Immunization records
  • Teacher and/or church references
  • Report cards
  • Behavior reports

 Whatever documents are still needed for your child’s application, we’ll let you know!

Review

Once all required documents have been submitted and entrance test results received, your child’s application will be reviewed by our Admissions Committee. This team carefully evaluates all materials, including standardized test scores, academic records, and notes, before making an enrollment decision:

Decision

The Admissions Team will notify each applicant’s family of the enrollment decision via email. If you have any questions regarding the decision, please feel free to reach out to our Director of Admissions at kristisummers@thefirstacademy.org.

When to Apply

The First Academy encourages families to begin the application process after their initial tour of the campus. A non-refundable fee of $155 must be submitted with each application.

Start an Online Application

Applications for 2025-2026 are now LIVE as of September 4, 2024. Click here to start an online application. After submitting the application, you will be able to track online your admissions status at the school by logging into your account. There you will be able to print the completed applications and monitor when the school receives supplemental forms. If you currently have a child enrolled at The First Academy, please follow these instructions to submit an additional child’s application.
